The Upper Rio Grande Nordic Club is based in Creede, Colorado. The club has permits for six groomed and ungroomed trails (separate from the snowmobile trails maintained by the Snow Country Explorers) all around the Creede area and offers skiing in much of Mineral County's beautiful backcountry.

The trails are groomed and maintained by the club using a snowmobile with a track setter. The elevations of the trails ranch from 8,500 to 10,000 feet. The trails follow Forest Service roads, old logging roads, hiking trails and jeep roads. The trails offer a variety of scenery and skill levels. Pick up a Winter Use Trail Map from the Creede Visitor Center for notes and a map of groomed trails.
